From the President

We here at the Golden Triangle Explorers Society (GTES) would like to welcome you to our web site.   We also want to extend an invitation for you to visit and attend any of our monthly meetings.  The GTES was founded in 1967, and thus, is the oldest organized treasure hunting club in the state of Texas…over 40 years strong!  As a result, the GTES possesses a diverse community of folks with various treasure hunting capabilities from the novice up, as well as a broad spectrum of skill sets and interests that include coin shooting, relic hunting, water hunting, and nugget shooting just to name a few.   Our society boasts monthly guest speakers, presentations, door prizes, refreshments, drawings, an annual club hunt, monthly fun hunts, a club member find of the month contest and hunter of the year award, community and charitable activities, club parties, tours, exclusive access, and an opportunity to visit with others having a similar interest.

The Golden Triangle Explorers Society meets on the 2nd Friday of each month.   Please visit our meetings and events page for additional information, maps and directions.   While you are here, take a few moments to browse through the “Treasured Times” monthly newsletter archive.

Join us at our next meeting and see what things others are unearthing and finding throughout the Metroplex.   Better yet, become a GTES member today and benefit from all that we have to offer!

Kind regards,

Chuck D. Howell
